Malta Guide - Features
The Republic of Malta is a small and densely-populated island nation in southern Europe. It consists of an archipelago in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea directly south of Italy and north of Africa. These strategically-located islands have been ruled and fought over by various powers over the centuries.

Malta - Toursim
Malta has many museums, shops, beaches, and leisure activities in a densely-packed area. It is a well-known popular vacation destination among Europeans. Although Malta is now a member of the European Union, it is not a member of the Schengen Treaty yet. It is currently adopting Schengen regulations with the goal to be finished by 2007.

Malta - VR Malta - About this tour.
The VR Malta website is published by Red Door VR Ltd. Leeds UK.

Equipment used for producting the panoramic images comprised:
Canon EOS 1Ds full frame digital SLR.
15mm - 30mm wide angle lens.
Manfrotto 303SPH 'VR Tripod Head'
Manfrotto 338 Levelling Device
Manfrotto MN 055PROB Tripod
RDB027 Bubble Level.
Images were photographed as 3 rows of 10 photos, horizon, 45 degrees up and 45 degrees down.
Images were then 'stitched' to produce a panoramic strip image using RealVIZ Stitcher, retouched and colour corrected (enhanced?!) in Photoshop then converted to low res web-streaming Quicktime VR Movies using Cubic Converter (Mac OSX only!).

December 2005: The tour is now available as Cylindrical FLASH movies as an alternative for users which are unable / do not wish to install QuickTime on their (bosses?) computer.
