| Golden Bay is the northernmost of three beautiful, sandy beaches on the North West coast of the island of Malta, at the bottom of steep cliffs (The other two being Ghajn Tuffieha Bay and Gnejna Bay). This is the most developed of the three and is overlooked by the huge Radisson Golden Sands Hotel. Building work is going on next to the beach - more tourist facilities. There are 2 good restaurants on the beach and you can try your hand at water sports here including parasailing, if you are feeling adventurous. It is a popular spot with tourists and the Maltese islanders and deservedly so. A really picturesque beach.
The cliffs on the North West of Malta offer spectacular views: they are high and very steep. The sea below is a fantastic, clear turquoise, blue. This would be a great place to watch a sunset.
